COMMENT
(1) Because a child's auditory Becky, who has phonologicalAwareness - a sensitivity to the sounds that compose words, and the ability to understand the variations of sounds. (Cunningham, 1990) The second area of literacy development is determined, the child's understanding of print awareness (Ball & Blachman, 1988) This cartoon helps her daughter Christine, who make the transition.
Learning (2) A problem for hearing children read, print, is that the names sound the letters of the alphabet is not the same letters in many words. In this case, the letter "P" in the alphabet is pronounced as if "Pee", but in many cases written in English, is like a noise that occlusive disease (pronounced explosive sound), without a voice.
(3) I once saw a video about teaching the alphabet, where letters''from the sound of the first person singular has been identified: "I like cake. But what about this sentence and the sound of" i? " I do not like pills. "A child who has bonded with the long" I "sound, you have aTransition to the pronunciation of the short "i."
(4) Christine example dates back to the area where Becky feels confident the sound of letters in words.
(5) Christine is now willing to read the two codes: auditory, that Becky has already summarized, as well as visual, that can help, the words we can say now is decoded.
(6:00) Becky is now in a position their knowledge base, add sounds and printed letters with the letter "P" or notthe beginning of a word.
